The refrigerating capacity and efficiency of R507A refrigerant are very close to those of R502, and it has excellent heat transfer properties and low toxicity. Therefore, R507A is more suitable for medium to low-temperature refrigeration applications than any other known substitutes for R502. R507A can achieve lower temperatures than R404A and is suitable for new commercial refrigeration equipment operating at medium to low temperatures (such as supermarket freezers and refrigerators, cold storage facilities, display cases, transportation equipment), ice-making equipment, transportation refrigeration equipment, marine refrigeration equipment, or equipment upgrades.
