- product introduction:TGS3830 is a semiconductor gas sensor developed by Figaro utilizing newly researched metal oxide technology, primarily designed for the detection of Freon. The sensing element of this sensor is a tin dioxide (SnO2) semiconductor, which has low conductivity. The conductivity increases with the rise in the concentration of the target gas in the air. A simple circuit can convert the change in conductivity into an output signal corresponding to the gas concentration. Moreover, the gas-sensitive bead is extremely small, requiring only 120mW of power for the heater. The TGS3830 exhibits extremely high sensitivity to R-134a, an ideal replacement for R-12 widely used in air conditioning and refrigeration, and boasts a fast response time. Therefore, the TGS3830 is an excellent sensor ideal for low-cost portable refrigerant leak alarms.
