China Geothermal (formerly Ground Source Heat Pump) magazine was founded in August 2006. It is sponsored by the Geothermal Industry Working Committee of the China Technical Supervision Information Association and the Geothermal Professional Committee of the China Energy Research Society. The Geothermal Industry Working Committee of the China Technical Supervision Information Association (referred to as the "Geothermal Industry Working Committee") is a social organization approved by the China Technical Supervision Information Association and filed with the Ministry of Civil Affairs. Its scope of services covers four major sectors: geothermal power generation and medium-deep geothermal heating, shallow geothermal energy heating and cooling, geothermal planting and breeding and facility agriculture, and geothermal spa wellness. Positioned as an influential non-profit public welfare organization within China’s geothermal and ground source heat pump industry, its vision and ultimate goal are to jointly promote the healthy development of China’s geothermal and ground source heat pump industries through concerted efforts to strengthen industry self-discipline and integrity building.
