The 36th China Refrigeration Expo Opens Grandly in Shanghai

April 27, 2025 - The 36th International Exhibition for Refrigeration, Air - Conditioning, Heating and Ventilation , Frozen  Food Processing , Packaging and Storage  (China Refrigeration Expo 2025), co-organized by the Chinese Association of Refrigeration (CAR), China Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Industry Association (CRAA), Beijing International Exhibition Center Co., Ltd., Shanghai Society of Refrigeration and Shanghai Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute, supported by Beijing Chamber of International Commerce, and hosted by Beijing International Exhibition Center Co., Ltd., opened grandly at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC).

Opening Ceremony

On the morning of April 27, the Opening Ceremony and CRH 2025  Forum of China Refrigeration Expo 2025 were held at the Grand Ballroom of Kerry Hotel Pudong, Shanghai.

Leaders from the organizing bodies attending the ceremony and forum included:

The Opening Ceremony was hosted by Mr. Chai Yingjie, Vice President of Beijing Chamber of International Commerce, Deputy General Manager of Beijing Capital Group Exhibitions & Event Co., Ltd. (BCGEE), and Chairman of Beijing International Exhibition Center Co., Ltd. Professor He Yaling, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, President of the Chinese Association of Refrigeration (CAR), Director of National Energy Storage Industry-Education Integration Platform, Xi’an Jiaotong University, delivered a speech on behalf of the organizers.

Professor He Yaling noted that the global community is advancing climate governance and accelerating carbon peak and neutrality goals. The refrigeration and air-conditioning industry faces new challenges and significant development opportunities. Amid the energy transition under the “Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutrality” framework, emerging sectors like electric vehicles, energy storage, and clean heating are creating new demands, providing a broader stage for refrigeration technology. The rise of big data and AI is transforming the R&D, manufacturing, and application of refrigeration equipment, injecting vitality into the industry.

In recent years, innovative products and technologies addressing new demands have emerged at the China Refrigeration Expo, making it a key indicator of global refrigeration technology trends.

Leading through technological innovation has been China Refrigeration Expo’s long-term goal. Over the past decade, with industry support, the China Refrigeration Expo has evolved from a commercial event into an international, comprehensive platform integrating exhibition, technology, trade, industry, academia, research, management, application, and media. The Organizing Committee of China Refrigeration Expo is committed to collaborating with global peers to enhance this platform, contributing to the refrigeration industry, global climate governance, and the well-being of people worldwide.

The CRH 2025 Forum

Following the Opening Ceremony, the CRH  2025 Forum commenced. The Forum was hosted by Professor Li Xianting, Director of China Refrigeration Expo’s Expert Committee and Professor at Tsinghua University.
